BNI commenced operations in Australia in late 1997.
Since then, a network of chapters has been established in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Regional Queensland, Regional NSW, Newcastle, Central Coast and Sydney Southwest.
As at July 2010 there were over 225 chapters. In addition, new chapters are starting every month. Check the website at www.bniteam.com.au under "Chapters - Regions" for the location of a chapter near you. Planned chapters are also listed so that you can "get in on the ground floor" of a new chapter.
BNI operates under a network of professional Directors who regularly visit each chapter to assist members in their "referral marketing programme". Directors are local and involved in the business of BNI so it is in their interest for members to be successful and profitable.
With a unique and ongoing educational and support programme, BNI is the pre-eminent business referral organisation in Australia.
